Making Jelly from berries isn’t that hard, but it does require several things that are pretty common in canning, but that you otherwise might not have. It’s also fun, but can be a bit messy, so if you have the option to do your jelly-making and canning outdoors, that can be a great way to keep the kitchen from getting sticky and hot!

  • 1 package of low-sugar SURE JELL pectin (link to Amazon)

  • 3 cups of sugar

  • 1/2 tsp of butter or margarine

  • 12 cups of blackberries (4 1/2 cups of blackberry juice)
